Pixieset

I used Acuity for years but decided to switch to Pixieset since I used them for my gallery delivery and website but this transition has not been easy. I’ve had many successful transactions go through and still don’t have access to use the Instant Payout feature. The calendar, projects and sessions are organized messier than acuity. I have to use an integrated Google calendar to print the actual calendar and it’s not as seamless as Acuity when referencing questionnaires and viewing appointment info. I end up having to open up studio manager in several tabs on my laptop to be able to easily see everything. It’s just not as simply organized as Acuity. So much so that I’ve continued to pay Acui

I only bought n Ipad because the Pixieset mobile is so hard to navgate ad create a website without a “desktop” I figured, “let me buy an Ipad so I can create a website and really MAXIMIZE my business.” Come to find out, I cant download the app on my brand new ipad. How frustrating.

It’s so disappointing that I can’t view my clients galleries and activities on the app. If anything, Pixieset is attempting to be more like HoneyBook.

I wanted to love the app, but I don't. I handle scheduling/booking manually (which is necessary for the type of photography I do) and I manage all of my contracts and invoices on a separate platform, so I use Pixieset exclusively for digital photo delivery. I was hoping the Pixieset app would include access to photo collections to make the process of removing watermarks and enabling digital downloads easier for when I'm away from my desk or out on a shoot. No such luck. I hope the developers of this app will connect photo collections at some point in the future, because it seems like a critical feature that's missing. As it stands right now, the app is basically useless for me.

PLEASE add inquiries to this app. I made the switch from honeybook because of pricing- but with honeybook you didn’t have to manually type in your bookings. You need to connect the messages to the app so people don’t have to go into their mail and respond from there. It would make our lives so much easier. Please make the change because the inbox from your website is completely different from your studio manager inbox, and it’s incredibly frustrating.

This is needed for ipad, especially when replying to contacts and making invoices and overall just using a bigger screen. I dont use my phone for the business end of things(website) so it being on the ipad would be perfect.

I have waited a long time for this app! I was so excited to download it and was extremely disappointed that I could not view the calendar. Viewing the calendar is an important part of the booking processes.

I’m giving this 3 stars is the fact I can’t see my calendar like I can on the web page. I have lots of bookings so I like to see it from that perspective instead of a list. Also the contract portion is soooo glitchy. It was giving me issues left and right. I also don’t like the fact I can’t use my webpage anymore because it automatically goes to the app.

1/23/26 update: still loving the pixieset app! I don’t know how I lived before it, honestly. Coming on here to add that I desperately need my locations to be able to save so that when I’m creating a new project or session, I have a drop-down of my frequently used locations! This would save me from having to type addresses in all the time. Thank you pixieset for always being so responsive to feedback! I’m so grateful for this app! It has made booking so much easier and has become invaluable to my business. I absolutely love the app ever since they came out with it! I love that I can easily add clients in and send contracts/invoices on the go. My work flow has been so much easier. I also love the add on feature of allowing clients to do tap pay!!

Been using pixieset for our website and the portrait side of the business and it’s been great. The app is convenient but I don’t like that you don’t have access to the gallery and other stuff.

Best app for photographer in one place

I have really been enjoying the app. I wish I could do more with galleries.

I wish there was a way to send a clients invoice via text message. I find the email method isn’t as affective as texting. Clients are more responsive via texting.

I switched from HoneyBook to Pixieset in 2022 and I’ve been blown away by the upgrades. It’s my all in one client management system and now financial system.

Alleviate me from being behind a computer. Anything that does that is conducive to my lifestyle.

Having Pixieset has made my client communication and photography contracts and album delivery workflow very smooth!

I just started using this app to help me fully start my photography business and I’m loving every bit of it. There are just a few things i really wish Pixieset would add!! 1. I wish there were documents that i could just simply upload or create brand new, that wasn’t a contract, questionnaire, etc. 2. For the mobile app, SO BADLY do I wish there were iPhone widgets for the calendar feature!! I hate that i have to fully open the app every single day just to check my schedule. I do manually put my sessions on my Google calendar and as a widget on my home screen. I LOVE that pixieset finally has an app, however, I went to download it on my work iPad and it’s not available, which is super frustrating! I also wish I had gallery access on the app so I can get my galleries on my phone, unfortunately I have to go online any time I want to look at them

Overall, I really like this app however, there are a couple of things that need improvements for optimization such as the fact that you really can’t change your appointment types. You can’t update an editor appointment types in the app and sometimes you may just have to do that on the go so that’s very inconvenient

I wish there was a dedicated iPad app so I don’t need to use a web browser. I also want to be able to view my client galleries from the app.

While the computer page does allow you full access to your entire Studio Manager, this app is SO USEFUL for staying on top of client contact and paperwork while on the go. Plus! They keep making useful updates!! Keep it up!! Thank you!!

Everything has been working flawlessly but the only thing I got to mention is that I migrated to the pixieset payments and I’m a photographer from Puerto Rico and have been waiting for them to resolve an address issue with stripe. Customer service with that situation has been great but it’s taking a bit to get resolved. I would totally give 5 stars if that was no issue.

This is my wedding photography business’s central hub for everything, and having it on mobile is becoming a huge help daily.

Pixieset is always doing the right thing to make being an entrepreneur feel better. And always adding new features

I like have my manager in the palm of my hand. Design simple and clean. Really need to be able to sort my projects though. Without that ability, the app has limited use. Please add a sort feature to the projects list on the next update.

I already love the online version as a whole and when I was able to test the Beta version then coming into apps was amazing! It has been super helpful to respond to clients while on the go, accept payments and update any information I have in the Studio Manager. It makes me feel more passionate about what I do because it’s been made easy. Give it a try!

This is definitely a lifesaver to have. Since we have moved over to this system, it has been easier to keep all information in the same place.

It’s great for the most part. However it’s a little slow and freezes sometimes so I have to exit and restart the app frequently

It’s refreshing to see such clean and functional UI in an app designed for photographers. I’ve been using the Studio Manager app to create and send invoices and keep track of contacts and what project(s) I’ve assigned them to. My one request: Dark mode, please. If the Pixieset team is able to create an amazing mobile app such as this, I can’t wait to see what they cook up when the release apps for their other services 👀 I am very pleased with this app. Great work, Pixieset!
