### Description These changes expose PhotoPrism's existing exact duplicate records in the photo file details panel and add a dedicated delete action for those duplicate entries. The implementation stays within the existing photo details workflow instead of adding a new standalone view: - duplicate records are loaded for photo details and returned as file-shaped payloads - the Files tab renders duplicates alongside indexed files, shows their storage path, and labels them as duplicates - duplicate entries can be deleted without enabling unrelated actions like download, primary, or unstack - duplicate-aware responses are refreshed after duplicate deletion and unstacking so the panel stays in

Even specifying ffmpeg command flags such as `-color_primaries`, `-color_trc`, or `-colorspace` does not seem to fix the problem. After further investigation, it seems to be specific to JPEG and WebP images, as PNG images look more colorful and more similar to the actual video (even without specifying special color parameters): ![ffmpeg-frame](https:/

A few days ago the NVMe SSD of my mini pc started reporting failures and everything stopped working. I have backups and snapshots in place so I didn’t lose critical data. But what is weird to me is that the disk only lasted about 1 year. I run about 20 docker services (*arr suite, photoprism, home assistant, etc), and a couple of cron jobs (poll TrueNAS for notifications, export files, etc). Is this too much stress for a single NVMe SSD drive? The drive was rated for 600 TBW, and I know this rating does not translate directly, but now I’m concerned if I just replace the drive and it lasts just one more year. Could this have been a case of just a bad quality drive or is this “normal” for a

Like many, my wife and I have run out of free space on Google's 15gig storage (mostly Photos, but some Drive items as well). Ideally, we would like to get something fairly simple to setup and maintain. I found options like Immich, Ente, PhotoPrism, etc. After reading/skimming through the documentation for these options, at the end of the day I could use an old laptop to get started and learn Docker and run the application. I understand that (i.e. Immich) would need an x86 pc with at least 6 gigs ram, 4 cores and a ss harddrive. Wh

I recently bought a Synology DS223j and a big hard drive to go with it. My goal is simply to store photos and view those photos, being able to search with tags. Synology Photos comes baked in and seemed like a great option, but doesn't have thumbnails for videos, won't show me untagged photos, and generally seems to run really slow (probably my fault for buying the j series). I looked at alternatives: Immich, Photoview, Photoprism, Piwigo. Every single one I tried to set up and every single one I failed. Authentik seems to have a general ‘region’ whitelist system for phone numbers, and ‘domain name’ whitelist for email, but I’m not sure if there’s a specific whitelist for a set of numbers.

Photo Gallery app for initial photo review/culling?

I've been looking for an something thing similar to what you can do in Adobe Lightroom around initial photo review and culling. Essentially the ability to swipe through or multiselect and quickly delete or rate photos/videos for further followup. I have trialed PhotoPrism and find that it like a lot of the self hosted photo gallery apps are built around viewing a library, not so much actively reviewing and removing. So swiping through files and taking action quickly is replaced by a more deliberate "are you sure" type of process. If you happened to know of something self hosted that would be suitable for this I would appreciate the suggestions.

Instead all I want is an app that simply uploads all my pictures to my PhotoPrism instance, much like Google Photos uploads them to Google (or used to, because they started charging an arm and a leg for it). I've had people recommend google photo, but it would mean i would have to upload literally every photo i've ever had? I've had people recommend photoprism, but as a mac user, even with decent technical skill, and yotube videos, i can't for the life of me understand how its set up... It requires docker? i don't know what a docker is? ive never setup a server.. i literally tried following the step by step instructions but i havent found an easy enough video that explains what i'm doing or h

Best strategy for merging ~100,000 photos across both Mac and PC with some duplicates/similar photos/corrupted files, with ultimate goal of self-hosting a viewer on NAS (e.g., PhotoPrism or Immich)?

I know the question has been asked before but most of the threads I can find are multiple years old and the available software may have changed by now. I have multiple decades of photos in various formats and folders, some of which are in an Apple Photos library (for which I was planning to just copy the "Originals" folder out of), and some in various folders on various drives. I know that there are a ton of duplicates, both exact duplicates as well as resized photos, different file extentions, and "similar" photos (e.g. slightly edited for white balance, or multiple photos taken in quick succession). My ultimate goal is to have one copy of all of these photos in one place, with all of the

Data hoarding for audio editor, business owner and plex user

I'm having to properly have a think about how to manage my data as I have to download yet again another few hundreds of Gb worth of audio for a project... Just to summarize; I'm new to data hoarding in general, though I have a pretty good technology understanding. I run a small business (audio) with a small team and we're running a 3Tb Nextcloud instance hosted by Hetzner so all our files can be accessible on our own cloud. This works wonder for us - however I can't store our archive and raw files on there only, I have to offload it to disks. Now these archives don't need to be accessible over the cloud... but I can't deal with having to remember what external drive contains

Does anyone have a breakdown of photo hosting facial recognition options?

Hi all, At the moment I'm running photoprism (which I chose as I wanted face tagging) to host a few albums and generally it works ok but I cannot help but wonder if there is something better out there? Has anyone got a good review or any suggestions of options to try?

Really good but need to add feature to know which photos are already on photo prism and allow only sync of new ones that are not — need to keep screen on or run in background when iphone is locked. Really good app so far and free. Cant beat that

Photo Sync and Management

Hi all, I'm looking for some input and feedback or ideas on how to best backup photos/videos from my mobile devices(a Android phone and iPad) and manage them. My current setup is that I use resilio sync to copy the files to my home server(a headless debian server) and this part works excellent. I really like resilio. Resilio dumps all the files into one folder and I then use a cli app(sortphotos) to organize the photos. I then use photoprism to view and review/delete crappy photos. My issue is: When I delete bad photos within photoprism, the next time I use sortphotos to copy new images over, it will recopy the crappy photos as well. Is my setup/workflow just not that good? I want to

App does not work

Edit: the developer has updated the app and now it is working correctly with photoprism. One of the things I like the most about this app is the simplicity of it. Previous review: Downloaded this app because I liked the simplicity of it. It does not upload to photoprism. I checked debug logs for photoprism and found that the API request from the app is 404’ing. I’m guessing an update to photoprism API caused this to no longer work.

Expanding my storage

I'm expanding my storage to include upwards of 30TB of storage. As there are a lot of options out there, I want to keep the table open to be able to upgrade the hard drives to a larger drive. Example, initially having 4TB drives in them, I could put 8TB or even 16TB's in them once they are at a more reasonable price point. My current hardware situation is : * Dell PowerEdge 2950 (ubuntu LTS) * Dell R710 (Proxmox) * Synology DS918+ (without expansion unit) * Self Built Intel server with an i3 in it (currently used as downloading stuff through Usenet/VPN/Etc) * Old Gaming Rig (Intel i5 - NVidia 1060TI) My uses of new expansion: * DVD Back up storage that will be served with Plex * Photo

OK this may take a while but can anyone offer some advice on my scenario below please: I have a large collection of photos and videos spread across several different drives which I have consolidated onto one large drive for sorting out completley. All my new photos from mobile etc are currently going to one drive but I will deal with them once I have the difficult part of the older stuff sorted. Its around 1tb in size mostly down to the amount of duplicates which are in there as well after all trimmed down I think I am going to be shocked at how much space it takes up for real in comparasin. Setup PhotoPrism on my NUC as it sounded like it was exa
