Docker container missing locale and perl is throwing log errors in the container logs

I'm currently testing the latest docker container webreaper/damselfly and am in the first stages of generating thumbnails and identifying objects and faces on a "small-ish" library before moving to my production/large image set.

I’m still (now after 3 years) hoping for restoration of the ability to look at records by specific location as detailed in my 3 star review below. That was *very* useful to me. The app remains minimally useful for my purposes but I’m disappointed in the lack of upgrades these past three years and the missing functionality. I wish I had not upgraded to version 2.
***
My review below (which was rated 5 stars)was in reference to the version before the major update more than a year ago. The older version was more useful for me. In particular what I have been missing in this version for the past year+ has been the ability to look at any destination I might be traveling to and then look at locati

No app should require you to enable locations services. If I just wanted to browse species, I can't unless location was enabled.
Worse, I could not even get to browse species. I wants me to create an account. Why? Why do I need to have an account to browse species?
None of my other field guides require this. Some suggest it and add an extra screen to navigate through which is bad enough. But this one won't let you proceed unless you register.
Just buy Ed Lam's book on dragon and damsel flies. It does want to know where you are and doesn't require an account.

Linux version includes both libonnxruntime.so and onnxruntime.dll files, resulting in larger package size
themes: NAS and deployment, Search, AI, and discovery · rating: · relevance: 1
After investigating the Docker image build process, I found that the Linux version of the server package (from the GitHub Actions artifacts) contains both `libonnxruntime.so` and `onnxruntime.dll` files, as well as `onnxruntime_providers_*` files. This results in the Linux package being around 500MB larger than the Windows package.
Are the `onnxruntime.dll` and `onnxruntime_providers_*.dll` necessary in the Linux version?

Virtual albums? - Sub albums/nest albums?
themes: Search, AI, and discovery, Sharing and galleries · rating: · relevance: 1
If there is another place to ask questions and discuss Damselfy, please point me the way. For now, I will ask my first question here:
While looking over the description, I was unable to find anything pertaining to virtual albums, or taking my existing photos and groups them into another album, by way of virtual link, not actually .copying the images.
Is this possible?
If it is, can albums be located inside other albums? Nested or sub album kind of set up?
Thanks

This app, like the Odonata central website, Is only as good as the data people put into it. As more and more records are submitted to OC, This app should improve. One feature that doesn't seem to work is the map filter. It would be very handy to know what species are native to a given area, but I can't seem to get it to provide that information. The nearest I can come is greater New York City which isn't much use for me.

There are TONS is species of dragonflies in the world, and this app has excellent information for someone to learn about each species. However, as an “ID (identification)” app, there needs to be some improvements made: when one needs sees a dragonfly in the wild and would like to identify it, you would seemingly need to scroll through all of the species until you found a picture that matches what you saw.
Maybe the developers can put in some kind of ID features from plant- identification apps or bird-identification apps, such as an Identification Engine/Interface: wing markings, abdomen/tail markings/color, thorax, location, etc….. or maybe even a picture identification feature.

This app is a fantastic tool for field and office. The Field Guide is great, but could use more photos at diff angles.
The option to submit observations is something recently added, and can I say a great big THANK YOU! This offers the ability for you to upload observations straight to OdonataCentral - a huge time saving device. The only thing lacking with that, is that you cannot submit an observation without linking it with a species. This is impractical because so many species photographed will be unable to narrow down to species without closer scrutiny, but having the genus documented is still valuable data. Also it eliminates a great resource in amateurs documenting things. Except for th

I have used this app for about a week now and think it is a very powerful tool for folks who are frustrated by the books that eschew color and color patterns for things like "male appendages" and "female subgenital plates". While I don't deny the relevance, but they assume that you are looking at pinned specimens that have lost their color and they are hardly friendly to those who wish to just ID the bug in the back yard! The location tools are a great innovation aid to shorten the list of possible species you must consider at any one time. If you want to browse species, that can be done with the "find by name" feature. I look forward to watching this tool develop further. Great start!

I'm a birder who has recently been bitten by the "bug". This app is fantastic for someone like me.
Pluses: I love being able to see which species occur in any area by month. That saves me from going through the whole book to find what lives near me. I also love being able to filter by color, size and habitat. I love being able to sync my list live from OdonataCentral so I can see a list of nearby species I haven't seen yet. Maps of nearby sightings from OC give me ideas of where to go.
Drawbacks: ID text is still a bit weak and/or missing for many species. A few species have too few photos. Realistically anyone even slightly serious about identifying dragonflies is going to need a field
